770 PS - Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Geiger Carbon 65 Edition

As you know, there is always a reason to celebrate, And Chevrolet used the 65. Birthday of the Corvette to create a limited special model based on the models Grand Sport and Z06. The jubilee model is built only 650 x and the suffix adds "Carbon 65 Edition". The special model includes a chic carbon package that includes a new bonnet with much visible carbon, side skirts, a Targa roof, a rear spoiler and air intakes in Sichtcarbon.

The visual highlight is an extensive carbon fiber body kit but also the performance has increased significantly.

But let's start with the look: the Geiger carbon fiber aerodynamic kit includes a front spoiler, a grille that allows even more air passage and modified front mask air intakes. It continues with new side skirts and a new engine compartment vent. At the rear there is a new approach for the bumper with diffuser which is much more aggressive than the series. And even two designed for road use rear spoiler alternatives has the tuner in the bag.

A flat version for more top speed or a steeper inclined version that is designed for more contact pressure. If that's not enough for you, you can also choose a thoroughbred racetrack rear wing, which is variant number 3. And also new alloy wheels from HRE Performance Wheels is available on request. Front mounted Geiger 10,5 × 19 inch formats and rear fat 12,5 × 20 inch rims fill the wheel arch. The forged wheels are equipped with Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires in the format 285 / 30R19 and 335 / 25R20 and who may want as an alternative to the slightly more handy Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 fall back on.

The factory-installed 1,7-liter Eaton compressor is being replaced by a more powerful 2,3-liter screw compressor, which, in conjunction with a modified throttle valve, a new intake system and, of course, in-house chip tuning, increases the output to 566 kW / 770 PS at 6.500 rpm and a maximum torque of 989 Nm at 3.350 rpm. The power is enough to let the Geiger Carbon 65 Edition-Z06 accelerate to 2,9 km / h in just 100 seconds and it only reaches top speed at an impressive 337 km / h.

So that the engine does not overheat, Geiger optimizes the efficiency of the compressor charging and also the operating fluid temperatures using the “Trackday Racer” cooling system package. It includes new charge air, cooling water and oil cooler systems. Finally, there is also a Heigo roll bar and sports seats with Schroth 4-point belts for the interior, which keep the driver and front passenger safely in check.
