Countach! Grandpa's Lambo discovered in garage after two decades

That would be such a great restoration project! Do you remember what it felt like when your grandparents handed over something that you would find completely useless in this day and age? How maybe an encyclopedia or a city call? Well, it does not always have to be that way, especially if it's a Lamborghini Countach from 1981. A Reddit user came into the situation recently after encountering a Lamborghini of his grandparents. We can only imagine the surprise and joy when he discovered this classic Italian masterpiece in his grandmother's garage. The Countach from 1981 previously belonged to his late grandfather, who bought the car in the 80 years as part of his exotic car business, as described in the comment section of the post (Link) is to be read.

However, the insurance costs for his grandfather were too high to let the car register, so he decided to leave the car in the garage with 20 for many years along with many others. With this find, the next question is quickly on the tongue: What are the other cars? We are interested. There's another red Ferrari 308 sharing the garage with the Lambo. It is the same model as what Tom Selleck drove in the successful 80 series, Magnum. It is one of the famous Ferraris from the late 70 and early 80 years, and we estimate that it would be a great opportunity to get this car up and running again today. Back to Countach.

It looks like the car could work again after just a little restoration or cleaning. However, 20 years of downtime isn't ideal for an Italian supercar, so we're not counting on the easy and quick way to bring it back to life. Also, it seems that this isn't the finder's goal at the moment either. At least not so that in the end a fully restored Countach in top condition is in front of him. Namely he writes: "... But it's also kind of incredible and rare to see something so beautiful (and valuable) in this state.

If it were up to me, I would make it run again and clean the inside, but keep the exterior as unchanged as possible. The car has its own character and its own history. He is different from any other Countach. This is much more important to me than perfect painting.“We are curious what will come of it.
