Subtle: Porsche Taycan Tuning from Zyrus Engineering!

As one of the very first tuners, the Norwegian team from Zyrus Engineering has pre-buttoned the fully electric Porsche Taycan. Specifically, a few aerodynamic components made of carbon have been developed, which, in addition to a better look, should also enable improved aerodynamics. And why do you suddenly leave the spectacular Zyrus LP1200 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo to the electric Porsche Taycan? Because the Covid-19 pandemic has forced the Norwegian company to suspend testing and development of the Zyrus LP1200 project. The biggest problem was and make still the comprehensive travel restrictions that change almost daily. So Zyrus also had a kind of standstill in the company. But at exactly this time a Norwegian customer got in touch. He asked Zyrus for a carbon aerodynamic kit for his fully electric Taycan 4S that can be attached to the OEM points.

And this wish was apparently a welcome change and at the same time quite a challenge for the engineers. Although they have extensive know-how in the production of carbon fibers, the Taycan and its body were completely new to Zyrus. However, using the latest technologies, the team has managed to manufacture all components in-house. The development phase took about 3 months, but the 14 carbon components of the complete set that resulted from it were worth it.

And if we are correctly informed, then they are now available from 12.900 euros. Options made of matt or glossy carbon are available and, on request, there is even a separate rear wing for the e-athlete from Zuffenhausen. And if you want, you can even have the body kit painted individually and, given the interest and the existing inquiries, Zyrus Engineering will soon set up an international sales network.

a lot of carbon on the fully electric Taycan

The body kit includes a chic carbon fiber and front splitter, there are side skirts made of carbon and of course the small spoiler lip on the tailgate is also made of carbon. It continues with a sporty diffuser, there are covers for the wheel arches and, as already mentioned, an optional fixed rear wing. The blue painted photo vehicle was placed on a set of OZ-Racing forged wheels in dark gray with hub caps in carbon fiber.

The result looks extremely successful and continues the elegant lines of the Taycan in exactly the right places, as we find. We are curious to see whether the carbon specialists will add more vehicles to their repertoire. If we get more information, there will of course be an update for this report.
