The boys of Pandem rocketbunny tra-kyoto have again made something spectacular on their feet. This time it's not a super sports car, it's not a well-sold mid-range coupe and it's not a HotHatch in the form of a Ford Focus RS, Mercedes A45 AMG or Audi RS3! It is a Datsun 620 pickup, In our archive, I first had to see if ever a Datsun was mentioned on tuningblog.eu, and behold, even several times. So now there is another one and if you look at the base this is probably the craziest one so far. The Datsun Truck was a practical vehicle introduced in the 1930s and sold by Datsun worldwide over the generations. The last model was the D21 which was sold as a Nissan Pickup in Europe from 1986 and became the Nissan D21 Truck in North America.

Two generations before, 1972-1979 had the Datsun 620, which was equipped with a 2,2 l-R4 diesel engine and crazy 65 PS. Almost unknown was the Datsun U620, which was offered at the same time with extended body and 4 seats on the manufacturer's home market. The Datsun 620, Pandem has now actually caught and developed for this widebody kit. The Bodykit consists of a visually very well fitting, front spoiler and relatively restrained Radlaufverbreiterungen in the typical style with exposed glands. In addition, the front grille is modified in this vehicle and also the rear bumper got a different design with new taillights. To what extent these parts are part of the body kit is not known to us at the moment. Also, we know nothing about the black, about 15 inch large, wheelset with extreme low bed and Toyo tires. The rims definitely fit perfectly under the widened wheel arches and thanks to an extreme lowering there is no millimeter more space.
At least in the virtual pictures there was also a modified brake system and a sports exhaust system with side pipes. On the other hand, the planned roll cage on the loading area, which, in addition to a suitable look, should of course also convey more safety, is very real. We are already looking forward to the first real vehicle and will of course keep you up to date as soon as the first pictures are available. Of course, if we get more information about the planned modifications, there will be, as always, an update for this report. - Rear bumper new with new taillights
- black, about 15 inches big, alloy wheels with extreme low bed and Toyo tires
- modified brake system
- Sport exhaust system with Sidepipes
- Roll cage on the loading area
- Lowering (coilover suspension, airride air suspension - more information is not available)
- possibly a performance increase - (compressor or turbo conversion, NOS etc. - more information is not available)

News from 16.08.2018
It took time, but now we can finally show you a real reconstruction. A tuner by name SSworx has snatched a copy and installed the distinctive body kit including the fender flares and the front spoiler. Also, the installed alloy wheels and the lowering are very similar to those of the virtual images only by a flawless paint and bodywork can not speak. Have fun with the new pictures!
