In recent years, we have already had countless converted Land Rover Defenders from the British tuner Chelsea Truck Company (Subsidiary of Kahn Design) presents. Although there were already quite a few specimens that were designed especially for extreme off-road use, the majority is trimmed for luxury and long-distance fitness. And almost no vehicle has been built with the intentions so correct to be practical. And that's exactly what changes with this 2016 Defender 110 hardtop! A conversion as we know in principle, but this time with only two seats and a full load area.

Although you could not refrain from lining the loading area with a noble wood, all in all, the hold is kept practical and functional. The remainder of the renovation is known. Outside there is again the X-Lander grille including new LED headlights (LED lights also rear), there are new bumpers front and rear and also the fender flares all around must not be missing of course. The wheel arches feature matt black 20 Zoll Mondial Wheels rims from Kahn Design, and of course the suspension, gearbox or engine is also in a new car-like condition.

And of course that also applies to the driver's cab. As already mentioned, there are only two seats this time, but you don't have to do without anything. The entire interior is new and only got company for a distance of approx. 350 kilometers. There is quilted leather in black everywhere, a high-quality 3-spoke leather steering wheel, aluminum pedals and of course new displays as well as a contemporary infotainment system. All of this is reduced to just two people this time. In an emergency, 8 people can easily sit on the spartan seats (under the hardtop) in the loading area (unchangeable and of course not allowed).

And finally, the best news: For 40.000 £ plus tax, the 2016 Defender 110 Hardtop can be purchased directly from the Chelsea Truck Company.
