Project Ghost - 2019 Defender 110 V8 from tuner ECD

There is no question that the guys from ECD Automotive Design are world leaders when it comes to creating individual Land Rover Defenders. Since its founding in 2013, the company is a pioneer in the restoration of the beautiful British off-road icons. Here, each copy of ECD is unique and always something very special. One can assume that an ECD Defender always draws attention to itself and that applies all also for many a Mercedes G-Class driver. And the last vehicle completed is the “Project Ghost” based on a Defender 110. But the project name is certainly not necessarily a reflection of the car, because this Defender is anything but invisible, The body of the British is painted in the beautiful original color Aston Martin, China Gray, and adds a lot of black accents.

This Defender is available this time not around the popular external roll cage but here it is limited to the area around the windshield now even carries an LED light bar. This look gives the Project Ghost an incredibly elegant and sophisticated look. And also in the interior everything is again new. There is a cabin with high-quality Italian leather Spinneybeck which customers could choose yourself. The look is similar to the Aston Martin China Gray outside which is of course no coincidence. The simplicity of the interior and exterior goes perfectly with this tailor-made Defender 110. And sitting in the vehicle you will probably never have the feeling of being enthroned in a decade-old British off-road classic. The reason is the fact that countless modern functions and technologies such as wireless charging, in-vehicle WiFi and even seats with ventilation are installed. Anything but usual in a Defender!

an interior with state-of-the-art technology

And of course there was again a thick V8 under the hood. Installed this time is an 6.2L LS3 V8 engine with 430 PS, which was coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission and makes acoustically impressively noticeable by means of the Borla sports exhaust system. Countless other details like the 20 inch big Kahn Mondial Retro rims with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T / A K02 tires, the Aircon front apron with WARN VR12 winch or the classic radiator grille complete the look impressively. As always, you will find all changes to the vehicle summarized below. If we get more information soon there is of course an update for this report.
