This Land Rover Defender (L663) has been specially converted to be much more effective off the beaten track than the series. The vehicle comes from the Icelandic company Arctic trucks, although it was specifically the Russian Arctic Trucks subsidiary that carried out the conversion. Based on the 110 model with a mild hybrid six-cylinder under the hood, the AT35 conversion in the video below on snow-covered slopes and when the temperature is clearly below zero. Of course, the biggest difference compared to the series is made by the rims and the coarse tires. The factory tires are actually 255/50 R20, but the Land Rover Defender Arctic Trucks AT35 enjoys powerful 315/60 R20 slippers instead.

The 12,4 inch (approx. 31 cm) wide tires were pulled onto dark gray double-spoke rims and Arctic Trucks Russia also added to the combination spacers front and back. And so that the speedometer continues to work correctly, a Calibration performed on the new wheel/tire combination. By the way, so that the wheelset is properly covered, are also powerful Wheel arch to see, there were large mud flaps and a special anti-corrosion coating was also applied. Small details like the emblems on the fenders or various Arctic Trucks- Body stickers also set skilful accents. And if you look closely, you will also see that the vehicle more ground clearance has.

Specifically, it is now 360 millimeters (14,1 inches) instead of the standard 290 (11,4 inches) of the series. This can be achieved either with new springs or with a modified one Smart Air suspension. The ground clearance is 270 mm for the "spring" version, 260 mm for the air spring variant in the standard position (road) and the mentioned 360 mm in off-road mode. Unfortunately, Arctic Trucks Russia has not yet announced any price information for the AT35 package. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
