It has been over two weeks now since we from the ECD Automotive Design Team "Project Savage" based on a Land Rover Defender. The guys built the vehicle and officially celebrated vehicle number 150 that was refined by ECD. But of course it wasn't over after this project. The "Project Hard Drive" followed that we are now also showing you. With this Defender, of course, the eye-catching paintwork immediately stands out Calvary Blue in the eye. It covers, apart from the white painted roof and the off-road steel rims, the complete body and actually comes from the Land Rover Arles Blue livery the nineties.
The Defender is the slightly stronger paint dress but also very good as we find. But of course there was not just a new livery. The absolute highlight of the conversion is the 430 PS strong 6,2-liter Chevrolet LS3 V8 engine, which under the hood of the Defendern now carries out its service. Incidentally, this engine was also stuffed into the "Project Savage" in a 600 PS expansion stage. Now this D110 is also powered by a V8. The Defender got on the outside a new bumper with crash bar, a WARN winch and LED daytime running lights and a large roof structure. This is screwed with solid struts directly to the body and can be achieved via a ladder at the rear.
In addition, it has 4 additional Hella headlights for significantly improved illumination in front of the vehicle. At the rear there was a full spare wheel as well as a modified metal bumper. And the interior is completely new too. The dashboard was completely covered with leather, there is a classic wooden steering wheel, new leather seats and door panels as well as an Alpine infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and WI-FI. Many small details such as the LED lighting inside and outside or the noble rear compartment impressively round off the "HARD DRIVE" project and at the same time ensure that the owner can be sure that they own an absolutely unique item. If we receive timely information on further changes not mentioned before, there will of course be an update for this report.
