Travel coupe, luxury glider or track tool: the new coupe of the 8 series (G15) combines many virtues in its pretty aluminum body. With the new H&R sport spring set, the Munich beau is now bowing to his sporty racing counterpart, the BMW M8 GTE. Here, too, H&R is involved in the fine-tuning of performance and, as a technical partner of BMW Motorsport, supplies the chassis springs for the racing car. This lead in development can also be felt in the road vehicle after refinement with the H&R sport springs. The lowering of the vehicle's center of gravity by 30 millimeters ensures more direct steering and reduces the rolling movement of the body in fast corners or during abrupt load changes without sacrificing long-distance driving comfort.

The measure is also visually convincing, the wide aluminum of the 8 series now fit perfectly in the wheel arches. But that's not all: H&R "Trak +" wheel spacers made of high-tensile aluminum are now available for aligning standard and retrofit wheels with millimeter precision on the wheel arch edges, which ensure a further increase in performance and optics. As usual at H&R, all components have parts certificates and are 100% Made in Germany.

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
