Schwerz to locate - Dazzle foiling on the BMW i8 hybrids

What does the USS Quincy (CA-19) warship, commissioned on June 1940, 71, have in common with a state-of-the-art BMW I8 hybrid? You both have a so-called dazzle optics which should ensure that you can estimate their speed or position much worse. While this can certainly be said of the opponents of the USS Quincy, it is certainly rather hopeless in modern times to disable a radar measuring device or to confuse it so that a correct speed measurement is no longer possible. 😉 But one thing definitely works, the style attracts everyone's attention and looks at least as spectacular on the I8 as on the USS Quincy. Originally the BMW i8 was painted in innocent Crystal White and only a short time later was equipped with the Satin Black foil, including the Dazzle look.

What remains are the BMW i blue accents, which visually harmonize perfectly with the foiling. While the production car also the side skirts with a BMW I blue The classic BMW M Motorsport colors have been chosen for this model. Certainly the whole thing is a matter of taste, but attracting attention is guaranteed, and if the owner is tired of it, the foil can of course be removed at any time without leaving any residue. If we get more information about the modifications to the i8, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report. The best thing is to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will be informed immediately. We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures.

Update

News from 29.03.2017/XNUMX/XNUMX

Just in time for the tuning summer 2017, the i8 has now been given a new wheel set and lowering. For the rims, it was decided to use 22 inch Savini BM14 Alu's which are fitted with tires in the dimensions 235x30x22 & 245x25x22. In addition, there was a subtle lowering that ensures that the body of the i8 is a bit closer to the ground. In connection with the spectacular foiling, the G8 with this style is of course an absolute highlight and should attract a lot of attention.
