Dodge Challenger "MAD MAX" from SCL Global Concept!

When the current generation of the Dodge Challenger saw the light of day in 2008, Dodge and Chrysler were still part of the Daimler Group. As early as 2006, the first study of a possible new edition of the muscle car icon was shown at the Detroit Motor Show. But only two years later, more precisely on February 6, 2008, the final production version was presented at the Chicago Auto Show. In the first year, production was limited to just 6.400 vehicles, and the serial number of each car is noted on a sticker in the interior. Initially, the Challenger was only available as an SRT8 model, and housed a 6,1-liter HEMI V8 with 431 hp, which was coupled to a five-speed automatic. Further versions with six and eight cylinders were then pushed in bit by bit, and today the Dodge Challenger is available in various engine variants from 258 to 852 hp. Incidentally, this is the latest one 818 hp SRT Super Stock. The Challenger is of course extremely popular with tuners, as it offers a powerful and stylish retro design, which leaves many tuning options open. There are also a lot of performance-enhanced Challenger models that have been refined by various tuning companies from all over the world.

Body kit with a very special flair!

Today we would like you the Dodge Challenger MAD MAX from the Russian tuner SCL Global Concept imagine, in which the new body kit replaces 70 percent of the standard body parts, so that a completely different car appears. Even the round headlights have been replaced by units in the style of the current Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Charger to give the muscle car a completely new look. Aprons, air inlets and sills all around make for a pretty martial appearance that reminds a little of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, but without being designed purely for the drag strip. The widebody look of the complete package also looks very thick, and the revised exhaust pipes underline the riotous design of the restyling kit. In our opinion you need a lot of self-confidence to pimp your Challenger with the body kit, because subtle is definitely the opposite of the modification measures.

Suitable for all engine variants of the Challenger.

It doesn't matter whether you own a V6 Challenger or an SRT Hellcat with 727 PS, the body kit is definitely suitable for every variant. In our opinion, however, it goes much better with an SRT model or a Hellcat, as a V6 Challenger does not have the overtaking prestige to do justice to such an individualization kit. Ultimately, however, it is up to each Challenger driver whether they want to tune their car in this way.

Bodykit is available in four colors.

For all interested Challenger drivers, it is certainly of great importance that the body kit can be obtained from SCL Performance and is available in black, red, gray and white. From our point of view it is a bit surprising that the kit is not available in Daytona Orange or Plum Crazy, as these colors are extremely popular. However, nothing speaks against a subsequent painting or against a full film in the color of your choice. By the way, you can get hold of an older Dodge Challenger at a reasonable price, as there are well-preserved copies on the used car market for less than 20.000 euros. In doing so, however, you have to consider some high mileage, and also the follow-up costs, since a Challenger is not a low-cost insurer and is not exactly cheap.
