As the owner of a Dodge RAM, do you really feel the need to increase the ground clearance of the pickup? If you look crazy copies like that of Power Parts, American Expedition Vehicles or GR suspensions you might think "ja". But today we somehow want to present the opposite to you - but somehow not either. We'll get to the enlightenment soon. The following copy belongs to the US Car Accessories specialists of Eagle Motor Parts and they are also responsible for the conversion. The basis is a Dodge RAM 1500 of the third model generation which serves as a presentation vehicle. The white lacquered Regular Cab / Long Bed pickup works in contrast to the above-linked vehicles completely different because he seems to be almost on the asphalt for a RAM cower.
But that's not really true and is more of a visual illusion because the pick-up is placed on the front even 3-inches higher. This is achieved with a lift kit combined with Bilstein springs and dampers to lift the Ami easily. Reason is the fact that space for the wheel / tire combinations in XL format should be made. In addition, the wheel arches have been enlarged by means of black plastic spacers and thus space for 10 × 20 inch KMC Rockstar rims including Cooper Zeon LTZ off-road tires can measure the stately 305 / 50R20 all around. In addition, there are still spacers and only the front provides for 48mm more track width. At the back there are, thanks to 34mm plates, even full 68mm per bike. The black / white rims with an offset of -24 are thus perfectly fitting in the wheel arch.
Reinforced leaf springs were installed on the rear axle, which create contact with the road surface with pneumatic Monroe High Jackers shock absorbers. We already noticed the tuner on Facebook, back then with its extensive range of LED lighting. And so it is not surprising that the ram was also given an in-house light unit. An Aurora LED light bar with a full 240 watts of power was installed in the front bumper and the low beam, high beam and fog lights have been converted to LED technology. At the back there was a light bar with a brake light function that is installed under the loading flap. In addition, LED reversing lights, rear fog lights, position lights and also Aurora rear lights. And while we're at the rear, of course, we also have to address the loading area.
This, including the side walls, was covered extensively and a Herculiner loading area protection was applied. The robust surface is also applied to the front and rear bumpers, the radiator grille and the side panels. And according to the optics, the 4,7-liter V8 can now also speak out under the hood. On the loading area, behind the driver's cab, 2 exhaust pipes in stovepipe format were attached, which lead into a custom exhaust system. A real monster!
