But now comes with that Domanig car design Mercedes-AMG GT R a vehicle that unites the knowledge of both tuners. IMSA and Domanig have joined forces to launch an 780 PS Monster created under the auspices of Domaniq. After this EDO Competition AMG GT R and that of ADV.1 Wheels the Domaniq GT R is now the next tuned GT R within the last 6 months.

No less than 780 PS & 960 NM torque ensure that it goes to 2,9 km / h in just 100 seconds and the propulsion is only halted at an electronically sealed 330 km / h. The acceleration to 100 km / h is especially convincing because the GT R is not equipped with all-wheel drive but has rear-wheel drive. As the pictures show, there was of course not just an increase in performance. In cooperation with the chassis professionals from KW-Automotive There were new springs and a lift system for the front axle (type HLS2) which ensures that the GT R is lowered by about 25-30 mm.
However, the lift package makes it possible to lift the front axle by 30 mm on request (from the cockpit by means of a red illuminated switch) so as not to damage the front bumper, especially on rough terrain. From 80 km / h, the GT R is then automatically lowered again. And of course a lowering screams for a new wheelset and here it was decided for a beautiful three-piece Domanig D-Ultralight "five twin spoke" Black Edition forged wheel set on Michelin Super Sport tires we already on Domanig C63 AMG have seen.
The front axle comes on 10,5 × 20 inch aluminum with 275 / 30ZR20 tires and there were huge 13 × 21 inch copies including 325 / 25ZR21 slippers at the rear. The wheel set has a glossy black finish and convinces with yellow / black hub caps. The most important thing, of course, is the increase in performance to a whopping 780 PS and a massive 960 Newton meters. And right here it comes IMSA GmbH into the game with their 860 PS RXR ONE has already impressively demonstrated what the AMG engine is capable of.
Major components of the changes are large twin-turbochargers, downpipes with sports catalyst, a double-flow exhaust manifold and a sports air filter. In addition, there was a modified electronics and an additional cooler for the low temperature circuit of the intercooler for the engine and the transmission. From now on, the gearbox can deliver torque of up to 1.000 Nm and thus ensures that all acceleration orgies can be implemented without errors. Rounding out the GT R with a design that we have already seen on the C63 from Domanig.
A yellow stripe with Domanig lettering and other yellow accents on the wing, the exterior mirrors or the rear spoiler round off the project impressively. This time with 650 PS and 780 Nm torque! Domanig is again showing a refined Mercedes-AMG GT R. This time, however, the Stuttgart-based model comes in the optional, and particularly eye-catching, “Green Hell Magno” look. Here, too, there was the distinctive "Domanig" trim strip over the body, but this time in glossy black, in contrast to the vehicle above. The characteristic stripes in AMG “Edition 1” style have also been applied to the flanks. The nameplates are now in glossy black and parts of the rear wing and the exterior mirrors in the gold tone of the brake calipers add further accents. It is identical to the vehicle above D-Ultralight "five twin spoke" shoulder pad The Black Edition is also here in the format 20 front inch and 21 inch rear, including Michelin Pilot Sport 4S-Pneus (275 / 30 ZR20 + 325 / 25 ZR21), installed.
There was a set of KW lowering springs (Lowering 25-30 mm) in combination with an HLS2-Lift-Kit. And finally, of course, an increase in the performance of the biturbo V8 could not be missing. Not quite as strong as the GT-R above, but still clearly driving this GT-R now 650 PS and 780 Nm torque (series 585 PS & 700 Nm). Enough to hog the left lane of the autobahn at a top speed of 330 kilometers per hour.
