With the brand new Škoda Kodiaq, after the Škoda Yeti, the Czech car manufacturer's second SUV is on our roads. Just everything one size bigger! The production version was presented to the public last year (October 2016) at the Paris Motor Show and since then the Czech has enjoyed great popularity. From a technical point of view, the Kodiaq is based on the modular transverse construction kit of the VW Group and it has a lot in common with the VW Tiguan, Audi Q2 and Seat Ateca. The SUV comes with five seats ex works, but two more seats can also be ordered for a third row of seats. And already at the market launch a few weeks ago, the Kodiaq was well motorized with three gasoline engines with 92 kW (125 PS - VW EA211), 132 kW (180 PS - VW EA888), and 110 kW (150 PS - VW EA211), as were the two available diesel engines (VW EA288) with 150 PS & 190 PS are a good alternative.
For the top model with 190 PS & 400 NM torque, the team from DTE Systems GmbH already has a performance increase ready with a plus of 27 PS & 80 NM that the Kodiaq the VW Toureg 3.0 V6 TDI (type 7P) with its 204 PS & 450 NM torque even trumps. In addition, the new PedalBox from DTE (we will report about it shortly) for the Kodiaq now available, the accelerator tuning ensures that the response behavior is another 10% improved compared to the production vehicle. The aim of the PedalBox is to ensure an even more precise and faster signal transmission and the Kodiaq can be tailored to your own needs by means of individual tuning "PerfecTune".
