Electric on the road in the current VW T6 is not? Goes well! While VW currently only offers the popular T6 with 2.0 TDI (EU6 SCR BlueMotion Technology) and the 2.0 TSI (EU6 BlueMotion Technology), the Swiss company Durot Electric now presented a variant with electric drive. The vehicle has four-wheel drive and, according to Durot, a maximum range of 400 km. The St. Gallen-based company developed a 86 kWh battery storage for the T6 in cooperation with the specialist Roundabout Electric from Upper Austria is the new heart of the T6. The Multivan should be completely suitable for everyday use and be able to cover all mobility needs, even in professional use.
The battery cells have been integrated to save space in the underbody so that there is no loss of space in the vehicle and all eight seats and the large trunk remain completely intact. And a side effect is the lower center of gravity of the T6 which even has a positive effect on the driving characteristics. Everything has an overview with an additional touch display on the dashboard that informs about the consumption, the range or the temperature of the battery. The battery is so powerful that it mobilizes lush 272 PS (200 kW), accelerating the T6 to 8 km / h in under 100 seconds. And so that the range does not fall into the bottomless one has limited the maximum speed to 150 km / h.
