Project A-Layne: ECD automotive Defender D110 with V8

ECD Automotive Design once again has created a single piece based on a Land Rover Defender D110. And, as you know, every vehicle has its own project name and here it is "Project A-Layne", The vehicle was, as always, completely built to customer specifications and is painted in beautiful Tamar Blue. In addition, there was a white Chawton roof and white steel rims as a contrast in color. This introduces the typical heritage look that a Defendor simply needs. And most of the changes to the bodywork are already familiar to us from other tuner vehicles. There was, for example, the Heritage Edition Anniversary grille, a new hood with power dome and a filigree slimline bumper with LED auxiliary lights front is installed. And as always, there was a thick V8 under the hood.

Installed is an 430 PS strong LS3 6.2L V8 engine from the Chevrolet Corvette which was coupled to an 6 automatic gearbox. In addition to acceleration values on the level of a VW Golf R, the new engine naturally also allows a typical V8 soundscape with a deep thumping in the video (below) is good to hear. And, of course, the cabin is also completely rebuilt and, as usual, covered in tons of leather and equipped with a high-end sound system. The Corbeau front and back seats are upholstered in Italian Spinneybeck espresso leather and feature a special tartan pattern in blue and beige fabric in the middle. Add to that a cream-colored headliner and a cappuccino-colored carpet throughout the cabin.

Again, there are countless small details such as the beautiful instruments for speed, speedometer or tank contents or the classic 3 spoke wood steering wheel to the sparkling air vents even bring an air conditioning for the passengers behind. In addition, trim made of noble burl wood and even the double-sided benches in the rear are covered with high-quality leather. In terms of technology, as always, we rely on a JL audio sound system with CarPlay for Apple or Android devices and even wireless charging and various USB ports are available. If we receive timely information on other changes not mentioned before, there is of course as always an update for this report.
