Chic, sturdy & fast: ECD Project Azure Defender V8

Chic, robust & fast! Two thirds of the terms we are probably less with the original rock Land Rover Defender D110 get in touch. But the guys from ECD Automotive Design are now proving that it is possible. A few days ago, the tuner presented the “Azure” project, which is based on a D110 and is a really chic option to drive the gnarled old Defender. And like all vehicles from ECD, this one has been completely restored and rebuilt down to the smallest corner. On the outside, the Landi shows itself with the well-known robust bumpers at the front and rear, there are of course the fender flares all around and the popular Heritage Edition Anniversary grille can be found.

For this purpose, robust ridges were used as well as a complete roll cage Exterior, Equipped is the lattice tube frame with a large LED auxiliary light front and also on the roof behind my two additional LED lights installed. The visual highlight is in any case the beautiful Crystal Covelline Blue Paint of the body. It is combined with innumerable accents in black and makes the Defender appear particularly noble. And for a noble variant one has also decided on the tires. There was an 18 inch large out of the shelf of Kahn Design Kahn Defend 1983 wheels Wheelset in shiny black. This is equipped with large BF Goodrich T / A K02 tires.

Raise by 2 inches for more ground clearance

And so, especially off-piste Defender is unstoppable, there was still a suspension of 2 inches and a correspondingly strong engine. Installed is the 6.2L LS3 V8 from the Corvette whose exact performance is currently unknown to us but unfortunately. Similar vehicles from ECD Automotive Design, with this engine, have always been used in the past 430 to a maximum of even 600 PS, Certainly, this Defender will also be in the field. Incidentally, we also transfer the power here with an 6 automatic transmission and also with this vehicle, a Borla Performance sports exhaust system ensures an adequate soundscape. Of course, the Azure project has been extensively dedicated to the interior. Again, the changes are largely known.

Corbeau Trailcat RRS sports seats front

But this time around, the Corbeau Trailcat RRS sports seats in the front, the Puma bench in the middle and the bench-style seats in the back of the cargo compartment have a light leather interior (Called Cadence Buckwheat) in combination with black. This makes the interior particularly high-quality, but with muddy shoes and dirty clothes you should not enter this cabin anymore. Countless other accents such as the Momo Millenium Evo sports steering wheel, the Sony infotainment system with JL Audio sound system or the integrated WiFi complete the Landyi impressively. If we receive timely information on other changes not mentioned before, there is of course as always an update for this report. It is best to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will get in touch immediately. We wish you a lot of fun watching the pictures.
