Slowly but surely, more and more are coming electrified Classics on the stage. At the same time, they also ensure more and more discussions. While the typical classic car fans do not allow any changes to their cars and completely reject this type of "tuning", there are other enthusiasts who are often fans of Restomods (old vehicles with modern technology) are. They swear more and more by the electrification of the oldis and so a completely new type of the Electromods. And we, too, can definitely gain something from an electrically powered classic car. Not necessarily when it comes to a Ford Mustang that has lost its V8, but when an ancient four-cylinder or a tired V6 has to give way to the electric drive, this is rarely a disadvantage.

ELECTROGENIC CITROËN DS EV

Electrogenic from Oxford in Great Britain shows us an example with a professional electrical conversion based on the Citroën DS. The DS (La Déesse - The Goddess) no longer installed the original petrol engine, but from now on has one Hyper9 electric motor. And that has a specific performance of 120 hp and 235 Newton meters Torque. So clearly stronger than the production car. And that's cool again, as we think!

The power transmission to the front wheels is by means of OEM manual transmission completed and hidden in the body Batteries for the Stromer. Together these generate 48,5 kWh and allow a range of up to 225 kilometers. With a classic oldtimer you will probably only cover a longer distance in one go in the rarest of cases. And if they do, they are ready for use again after approx. 2 hours with a 29 kW charger.

And on request are even more larger battery sizes and other Charger available. Even an optional one Range extender battery can be built in. You want the range on over 320 kilometers let rise. By the way, the hydropneumatic chassis remains fully functional. However, Electrogenic built one clearly quieter electronic pump. You don't look at the transformation of the drive in the classic.
