ELEGEND EL1: Audi Sport Quattro in 816 PS E-garment!

The rally legends of the 1980s will always be remembered by true motorsport fans. Especially because of the hype, the so-called Restomods and Continuation Cars currently trigger, the bolides from bygone times will not fade from memory anytime soon. It doesn't matter if it's a Lancia Stratos, who has risen again as a replica, or an Audi Sport Quattro, it doesn't matter which cult car from this era comes back, because the fans just love it . The ELEGEND company from the Bavarian town of Beilngries (near Ingolstadt) thought that it could not go away empty-handed, and without further ado, it decided ELEGANT EL1 on, which is striking at one Audi S1 reminiscent of the legendary group B of rally cars.

At the moment, we do not know whether the vehicle from the presentation (see video below) is ready to drive. However, it is planned to present a ready-to-drive EL2022 prototype in 1, which should point the way to small series production. The first series is only supposed to 30 copies each of which is to be offered for a sinfully expensive 1,06 million euros.

A second and third series (EL2 & EL3) are to follow and be based on Group B rally legends, each with a scope of 30 copies and built by the prototype specialist Roding. Visually, you want to go with the other variants in the direction of Lancia Stratos HF Stradale, Lancia Delta S4, Lancia Rally 037, Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 E2 or Renault 5 Maxi Turbo. On the drawings for the EL1 you can see the design language of the Audi S1 ​​Quattro, which has been transported a little into modern times. E-motor with 816 hp provides powerful propulsion.

Electric motors act as the drive (one in front, two on the rear axle) with a system performance of fabulous 816 PSfor an electronically limited top speed of 255 km / h and a breathtaking acceleration of 2,8 seconds from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (200 km / h in under 10 seconds) to care. The 550 kilogram battery with a capacity of 90 kWh enables a range of a maximum of 400 kilometers and the carbon monocoque ensures a low curb weight of only 1.680 kg, although the vehicle is standard about all wheel drive (needs-based “torque blending” between front and rear) has.

By the way, 19-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch wheels at the rear provide traction. A Fast charging system (800-volt voltage) with more than 150 kW of power, is intended to ensure rapid charging, and within 30 minutes supply the bolide with 80 percent of the battery capacity again.
