Fellten Motors turns the Porsche 911 into a Stromer!

While car manufacturers around the world are switching to electric drives, a small team is working to enable classic cars to switch too. The company Fellten Motors has specialized in developing standardized e-conversions for classic cars. So you build Electromods. Fellten Motors currently has locations in Great Britain, Australia and soon in the USA. The focus is currently still on classic vehicles from Porsche, Mini and Land Rover, for which Fellten already offers electric drives as a conversion. With the kits, the team makes sure that the kits can be installed in the vehicle with as few (or very few) changes as possible. This has the great advantage that the e-conversion can also be reversed.

And Fellten attaches great importance to the kit preserving the original character of the vehicle. To do this, the combustion engine and its properties are tested beforehand and the modern electric drive train is adapted to the performance, handling and driving dynamics. After removing the combustion engine, Fellten makes 3D scans of the vehicle to find suitable positions for the electrical components. And if the prefabricated components don't fit or don't do their job optimally, then new prototypes are made. And once a test vehicle is complete, it must first undergo extensive road testing. And in the course of the conversion, the Stromer can even have modern functions such as a Hill Start Assistto Hill Descent Control or be equipped with a regenerative braking system. Noisy carscoops.com Incidentally, Fellten mentioned that more kits are planned for other classic cars in the future.

a universal system is planned

And a completely universal system for several vehicles is also set to come onto the market in the near future. The variant, called FL10-55e, will include a 55 kWh battery with CCS fast charging and will fit a wide range of larger vehicles such as the Jeep Wrangler, the Land Rover Defender or the old Bronco. Fellten would like to announce a list of compatible vehicles early next year. We are curious! If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
