Ferrari has recently presented a new sports car for the racetrack. Curtain up for that 488 GT Modified as a derivative of the 488 GT3 and 488 GTE. It is made for use at Track Days or at Ferrari Club Competizioni GT events and is strictly limited. It has the well-known 3.9 liter twin-turbo V8 under the hood, but with a lot of parts from the Ferrari GT racing engine. The result: the performance has been increased to an impressive 700 hp. And since the 488 GT Modificata does not fit into any of the known GT regulations, the Balance of Performance (BoP) could also be dispensed with. This means that, for example, a more extreme mapping can simply be imported. But the 488 GT Modificata is still closely linked to motorsport. The mix of 488 GTE and 488 GT3, for example, has the suspension of the GTE. The GTE is mainly used in the FIA WEC and the European Le Mans Series (ELMS).

And for the brakes, Ferrari relies on a system from Brembo that comes with ABS directly from the GT3 variant. The 488 GT Modificata was developed and extensively tested on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring, where the final adjustments for the completely revised aerodynamics were achieved. The setup allows the Modificata, for example, over 230 kilograms of contact pressure at 1.000 km / h. And the 488 GT Modificata even has a telemetry system from Bosch installed. It collects all important data while driving and can load it directly onto a USB stick for analysis. There is also a camera for looking backwards, a second seat is possible and a system for measuring tire temperature and tire pressure should also be available. As always, the car can be extensively personalized. That goes for inside and outside.
