The almost forgotten horse: Ferrari F60 with V12 front engine!

Every car fan says one Ferrari F40 or F50 something, and also the designated successor to the F50, the Enzo, should immediately elicit cheers from every sports car connoisseur. These models became absolute legends of the brand with the Cavallino Rampante, because they were only built in limited editions, and some were even given away. For example, it was impossible to get a Ferrari Enzo if you didn't have an F40 or F50 in the garage beforehand, because the sports car manufacturer from Maranello didn't want to sell Hinz and Kunz their best horse in the stable, but only to a select clientele. But the F60 is carved from a completely different cloth, because this is not a secret hypercar successor to the F50, but a Special model based on the F12 Berlinetta, which was specially designed for the 60th anniversary of Ferrari's entry into the North American market.

Exclusive model for North America!

Only 10 pc built, which makes the vehicle rarer than the legendary 250 GTO. The example that we are presenting to you today was offered for sale at RM Sotheby's, but the noble auction house is careful not to disclose the exact price. You could never buy the F60 for money and good words in Europe or Asia, because it was specially designed for the USA and Canada.

Based on the F12 Berlinetta, the F60 owns a Targa roof and two humps in Speedster design. However, the elements are each equipped with a peephole so that the driver has a better overview when reversing and parking than with a conventional Speedster. the blue exterior paint, which with the red stripes Surprisingly well harmonized on the bonnet, based on the US flag, and of course there are also the usual yellow indicators in the USA and Canada, because without this equipment no car is allowed on the road overseas.

According to Ferrari, the design of the F60 is dated 275 GTB / 4 NART Spider inspired, which was produced exclusively for the US market in the 1960s and sold in extremely small numbers. We're jealous of the vehicle because such an attractive Speedster would look good on Ferrari in this country too, and the vehicle would certainly be an absolute crowd puller in the world of the rich and beautiful.

Extraordinary interior.

Immediately in the cockpit red and white driver's seat on, in contrast to the black and white passenger seat Racing atmosphere created. That Steering wheel, which also has red elements, looks a bit like from the tuning accessories shop, but, together with the dark blue exterior paint, should continue the red, white and blue color scheme of the US flag in the interior. To underline the exclusivity, each copy of the F60 received one numbered badgewhich is visibly placed in the cockpit.

V12 with 6,3 liters displacement

A is used as the drive source 6,3 liter V12 naturally aspirated gasoline engine, the huge one 730 PS perform. This makes this engine one of the most powerful naturally aspirated engines in the world, and catapults the F60 in just a little more than 3 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h. Thus, the racehorse does not have to fear any opponents on the autobahn, but as is well known, there is a strict speed limit in the USA, which even a Ferrari must not exceed.

Our Conclusion about this Ferrari F60:

We think it's a shame that the model was only built 10 times and only sold in the USA and Canada. It would certainly have found various fans in Europe who would be willing to pay a horrific price for such a piece of jewelry.
