Ferrari Omologata - unique piece based on 812 Superfast!

When Ferrari presented the 2017 Superfast in 812, some Ferrariists were probably amazed. When it came to naming, Maranello took a very unusual approach, using an English term that was as banal as it was meaningful, such as “Superfast”. This unusual choice of name does not prevent the model from being successful and from putting a smile on the face of the solvent and motorsport enthusiastic clientele of the Italians. But the 812 Superfast is apparently not exclusive enough, which is why Ferrari has now presented the unique piece called Omologato, which has already found an unnamed buyer, who is only known to be based in Europe.

Almost all body parts replaced!

In order to underline the exclusivity of the one-off, all body parts except the windscreen and the headlights have been replaced with custom-made products, so that not much is left of the original 812 Superfast. Even the three-layer paint called Rosso Magma, which has carbon fiber accents, was specially created for the one-off. The design of the Italian pays homage to Ferrari models of the past, including the fastback design and the "cats stairs“Contribute. Incidentally, this is the tenth project of this kind by Ferrari since 2009 and certainly one of the most exciting. All in all, the planning and realization of the vehicle took a good two years, which should also make the price staggering. In our opinion, the Omologata looks very retro, to which the mentioned cat staircase at the rear and the two round taillights also contribute. The overview to the rear is certainly problematic, as the missing rear window makes parking and maneuvering a Herculean task.

It's getting pretty blue inside!

Based on the interior of the 250 GTO, the seats were kept in blue, which creates a certain contrast to the red exterior color. The hammer finish on the center console and on the door handles is also reminiscent of the blissful 250 GTO from the 1960s. Otherwise, the interior is largely identical to that of the Superfast, and of course has all the characteristic elements of a modern Ferrari. These include the controls for the indicators and windshield wipers on the steering wheel and the Manettino, with which you can vary the chassis and engine settings. For our taste, the blue leather seats in combination with the red paintwork of the car take a lot of getting used to, but that is purely a matter of taste.

The engine was probably taken over unchanged!

Rumor has it that the engine was taken over unchanged from the 812 Superfast, but nothing is known about it yet. If this is the case, the V12 vacuum cleaner would generate 800 hp and 718 Newton meters of maximum torque. This makes the naturally aspirated V12 engine the most powerful naturally aspirated engine that Ferrari has ever put into series production. The top speed is beyond 340 km / h and from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour it takes just 3 seconds. But you probably don't want to race with the exclusive special model in order not to expose the special darling to unnecessary risk. A scratch or even a crash would have fatal consequences for the value of this unique piece.

Unique piece with high potential for appreciation.

This model is unlikely to be moved much anymore and will most likely be placed in an air-conditioned garage by its lucky owner. Because of its exclusivity, the Ferrari Omologata has enormous potential when it comes to adding value. It remains to be seen whether the vehicle will change hands in the next few decades and perhaps be auctioned at an automobile auction.
