620 hp & fabric roof: the Ferrari Roma Spider (2023)

Curtain up for the brand new one Ferrari Rome Spider! Of course, the technology of the Spider comes from the closed Roma, with new components and even Portofino M Parts being used in the rear area. The approx. 84 kg additional weight should hardly be noticeable, which can be attributed in particular to the convertible top technology and the typical cabriolet stiffening of the body. Under the bonnet is the well-known twin-turbo V8 with a displacement of 3,9 litres 620 PS & 760 Nm. However, the unit has been refined a bit. A further developed oil pump is installed, which is intended to improve engine performance during cold starts. The transmission is based on the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission from the SF90 Stradale, whichVariable boost management software“, which allows the torque to vary depending on the gear selected and thus always enables the right boost.

The programming of the control unit of the gearbox is also new and so the cooperation with the V8 should be even better. You can open the soft top, which is available in four colors Italians Incidentally, in just 13,5 seconds and even up to a maximum of 60 km/h. And the Spider comes with a patented automatic deflector that the driver can operate while driving. It is intended to reduce any turbulence that occurs. The movable rear spoiler can be set in three positions depending on driving conditions and speed, and the windscreen frame has an additional 5 mm thick element. And inside? The Roma Coupé can be seen there, which is why the Spider also has a fully digital instrument cluster and a central 8,4-inch display. The latter comes with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto wireless compatibility.

And if you want, you can as in Thoroughbred even order a third screen on the passenger side. This shows the most important driving information. Other cabin details include a steering wheel with touch controls and a red-lit start button. Incidentally, the key data of the open temptation are (almost) in no way inferior to the closed version. The Spider reaches a top speed of over 320 km/h and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3,4 seconds. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
