Unique: Ferrari SP51 Roadster based on the 812 GTS!

A pair of Ferrari unique is always a very special vehicle that is loved by fans and media worldwide. Even a production vehicle from the holy halls of Maranello is something very special for many, but a one-off that was designed and manufactured according to customer requirements is probably a childhood dream of every Ferrari fan. A businessman from Taiwan has now fulfilled exactly this childhood dream by selling Ferrari's "Special Projects"-Department charged with a Roadster unique to design according to his wishes. Because he wished More than just a removable roof section. We would now like to introduce this vehicle to you.

Retro design based on the 812 GTS

Design chief Flavio Manzoni from the Ferrari Centro Stile created a unique Design, which combines classic and modern. The rounded, flowing design language of the SP51 is reminiscent of older models from the traditional Italian brand, more precisely of specimens from the 90s. headlights and sidelines were changed a lot for this and the Front vaguely reminiscent of the legendary 550 Maranello. Specific Rims, which are designed exclusively for this vehicle, and one special paint (Three-coat paint) called Rosso Passionale, ensure the unique look. The blue and white ones frieze, which run from front to rear, pay homage to the 1955 Ferrari 410 S.

  • specially designed headlights
  • new spoiler at the rear
  • Bonnet with carbon insert
  • Carbon fins behind the front wheels
  • Rocker area with carbon inserts

In addition, the unique piece was not included carbon fiber stingy to customize the look of each body panel. But this is probably the most controversial design element of the vehicle Connecting element of the two rear humps, which is similar to a targa bar, but is mounted behind the cockpit and rotated 90 degrees. the rear End however, was only slightly modified and is very similar to the standard 812 GTS on which the one-off is based. We consider the design of the unique piece to be extremely successful, but the color combination is certainly not to everyone's taste. In any case, the unique piece is genuine in every respect Roadster.

The color scheme of the body is continued in the interior!

  • white-blue stripes on the center console, the cover between the seats, the seams of the steering wheel
  • red Alcantara with white cross-stitching and blue lines
  • Carbon surfaces on steering wheel, center console, dashboard

The Alcantara sports seats of the car are kept in the color Rosso Passionale and in the seat bolsters there are also blue and white accents, as you know it from the exterior. As well on Center tunnel and in the middle behind the two seats, blue and white elements are used, so that this one-off specimen unintentionally makes you look Restomod charm owns. That too dashboard is red in the lower part to underline the special character of the unique piece.

V12 naturally aspirated gasoline engine with 6,5 liters displacement

Ferrari is usually reluctant to announce which drive is installed in one-offs. But it's very likely that Engine from the 812 GTS was acquired. The twelve-ender performs fabulously 800 PS and generates its maximum torque of 718 Newton meters only at 7.000 rpm. This makes the drive one of the most powerful naturally aspirated engines in the world. The power transmission takes place via a sequential F1 gearbox auf die Rear wheels. Unfortunately, there is no precise information on the performance and top speed, but the car should play a prominent role in the league of super sports cars.
