Fiat has made the 595 Abarth again based on the Fiat 500. The different model versions 595, 595 Pista, 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione of the 500 derivative (between 145 PS / 107 kW and 180 PS / 132 kW) come soon with new paint options and as a highlight, there is still an active flap control for the dual-mode exhaust system Record Monza. By pressing a button you activate the system and can select the acoustic appearance of distinctive, but restrained or very powerful. To connect the 500er to the new WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light-duty Vehicles Test Procedure) to meet there is also for the 1,4-liter turbo gasoline a soot particulate filter to meet the strict emission regulations.
Visually, the model 2019 can be identified by specific inserts in the bumpers, which ensure striking differences between the individual model versions (Abarth 595 matt black, Turismo in body color, Competizione in matt gray). Apart from the 695, everyone now also gets the body color Rallye Yellow on request. And all models now come with headlamps with polyelliptic modules and LED technology daytime running lights. Optional are on the other hand bi-xenon headlights. Discreetly changed is also the interior where a newly designed steering wheel in the Audi S-Line Style (flattened below) is installed and various paint surfaces are available on the dashboard.
In terms of price, however, the upgrade only has a very marginal effect and so the base model 595 rises to € 18.900 and the convertible now costs € 21.500. Those who opt for the special model in the form of the 695 rival have to put at least € 28.500 on the table and then enjoy a whopping 180 hp in the city car. For the strong convertible as Abarth 595C rival it is already a hefty 30.500 €. A price for which you can also drive a Hyundai i30 N, Renault Mégane Coupé RS T or VW Golf GTI (VII).
