Again and again there are rumors that there could be a new edition of the cult small car as early as 2022, so that Fiat can regain lost territory, which is currently being plowed by brands such as Renault or the Japanese and Koreans. Whether there will be a potent one with a possible new edition Abarth version could give, we can only speculate about this at the moment, because concrete information or considerations have so far been available offizielle does not.

Yellow, bright, cool!

For all (Fiat) fans who are looking for a Point Abarth long, or maybe even have such a vehicle in their garage, we now present a tuned copy of the series. It is doing its rounds in India and has been made vigorous by the owner modified. If you now think that the shade of yellow is a color from the Stellantis Group's color palette, then you were mistaken. The standard red trim and lettering were black foiledso that a black and yellow racer is created that can hardly be overlooked in traffic. Not only the headlights were heavily tinted so that they also have a dark look, but the entire series bonnet was replaced by a Custom made replaced with black air inlets. And of course the chassis was not allowed to remain standard either, so now in the Fiat thread springs from ST are used so that the Punto Abarth is lower than the production version. white Sports rims in the double-spoke design testify to the dynamism of the car, and only the 17-inch format is perhaps a size too small from our point of view. On the other hand, it is certainly difficult to be able to fit even larger rims and tires on the little Italian without the tires dragging somewhere.

The format of the raised Slippers Incidentally, is 215/45 R17 all around. Furthermore, a manual (!) Sunroof Installed by Webasto so that you can enjoy a little convertible feeling in the hot summer in India. At the rear, the exhaust system has been heavily modified, and one centrally mounted exhaust system from Remus with Akrapovic tailpipes ensures a sonorous sound. With this little racing roll you could be seen at a brand-open tuning meeting in Europe.

1,4 liter turbo gasoline engine with four cylinders

Of course, the engine did not remain unchanged either, and so the performance went through a Stage 2 remapping from Code6 on 190 PS and 300 Newtonmeter pushed. That's a whopping one 45 PS and 88 Newton meter more than the production version that only 145 PS and 212 NM generated. In addition, a K&N air filters as well as a modified one Intercooler installed in the little Italian.

An Short shift for the five-speed manual transmission is also on board, and the power is still only transmitted to the front wheels. With the powerful thrust, the performance of the Punto should be on the level of current compact athletes, because the increased performance, together with the low weight, ensures powerful propulsion and thus also driving fun!
