Outstanding power, impressive forward thrust and an extravagant appearance make the new BMW X5 M Competition (combined fuel consumption: 13,0 - 12,8 l / 100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 296 - 291 g / km) and the new BMW X6 M Competition (combined fuel consumption: 13,1 l / 100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 301 g / km) is an exception on the world's roads. Their performance properties set standards, and their exclusivity can now be increased even further. With the First Edition, the energetic and individual character of the two BMW M automobiles in the luxury-class segment of Sports Activity Vehicles (SAV) and Sports Activity Coupés (SAC) is underlined in a particularly stylish way.

Precisely coordinated design features for the exterior and interior give the edition models of the new BMW X5 M Competition and the new BMW X6 M Competition the status of a particularly fascinating rarity among the high-performance automobiles in their segment. Its exclusive charisma creates the perfect framework for the unmistakable driving experience, which is generated by a V8 engine with two turbochargers, a high-rev concept and an output of 460 kW / 625 PS, an M-specific chassis and the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The two edition models are produced in a limited edition of 250 each at the BMW plant in Spartanburg in the USA and can be ordered immediately.

The BMW Individual special paint finish Frozen Dark Silver, available exclusively for the edition models, highlights the exterior design of the new BMW X5 M Competition and the new BMW X6 M Competition in a particularly impressive way. The matt paintwork ensures that the powerful proportions, the clear design language and the typical M details of the body design come into their own, regardless of the incidence of light. Upon request, the two edition models are also available in the BMW Individual special paint finish Frozen Marina Bay Blue. This exterior color is one of the BMW special paint finishes that are now available ex works for the BMW X5 M Competition, the BMW X6 M Competition and for the BMW X5, BMW X6 and BMW X7 models and the selection is continuously being expanded.

21 inch rims front and 22 inch rear

The high-quality paintwork is combined with M light alloy wheels in a star-spoke design, which are available exclusively for the edition models in the color jet black. The 21-inch wheels at the front and 22-inch on the rear axle are fitted with mixed tires. The exterior design also includes selected body elements made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). In addition to the M carbon exterior mirror caps for both edition models, the M carbon rear spoiler for the new BMW X6 M Competition also conveys a subtle racing flair. An M carbon engine cover is also part of the equipment of the First Edition.

The interior design of the interior is harmoniously coordinated with both variants of the BMW Individual paintwork, thanks to the BMW Individual full Merino leather trim in the exclusive two-tone Silverstone / Night Blue version. Black Alcantara inserts in the seat cheeks and contrasting stitching in Sakhir Orange emphasize the contours of the M multifunctional seats, which are designed for sporty driving. The striking contrasting seams also set individual accents in the door panels and on the dashboard. The BMW Individual headlining in Alcantara is also in the color night blue to match the leather-covered instrument panel.

In addition, the particularly light high-tech material CFRP is also used in the interior of the edition models. Their equipment includes the interior trim strips carbon fiber. They are available in a specially designed version for specific markets, in which the silver-colored "First Edition 1/250" label, applied directly to the carbon bar before the clear lacquer coating, serves as an indication of the exclusive character of the edition models. In this version of the interior trim, the model lettering on the cover of the cup holder is kept in the same design. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
