Four months after its world premiere in Detroit last September, the new Jeep Wrangler 4xe can now be reserved. Sales in Europe will start in the first half of 2021. Customers in Germany are among the first to discover the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, which is homologated for the European market, with just a few clicks on the bethefirst.jeep.de website and can express their interest in buying the vehicle - of course without any obligation or down payment. Numerous customers already used a similar online reservation option for the Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe models last January.

"First Edition" Jeep Wrangler 4xe

The Wrangler 4xe with an output of 280 kW (380 PS) marks an important milestone in the development of the Jeep brand and is a further step in the strategy to electrify the entire model range. In the coming years, at least one electric or electrified version is to be introduced for each model series.

After the Jeep Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe, plug-in hybrid electrical technology will now also make the iconic Wrangler brand a more environmentally responsible vehicle with an electric motor that is locally emission-free. Reservation only through the web platform

The limited “First Edition” introductory model of the new Wrangler 4xe can only be ordered by customers who have previously expressed their interest on the bethefirst.jeep.de web platform within a specified time frame.

Advantages of the "First Edition" are, in addition to the already extensive standard equipment with technology and driver assistance features, a package with a Mode 3 cable for public charging stations, a practical cargo organizer for the trunk and a cover for the entire car plus a maintenance package for the scheduled service inspections in the first 24 months. The price of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe First Edition is 76.000 euros (manufacturer's retail price ex works).

The most advanced and capable Wrangler in Jeep history

With the combination of an electric motor, an electric starter generator, a high-voltage battery package, a high-tech turbo gasoline engine with a displacement of two liters and the proven TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, the Wrangler 4xe offers a system output of 280 kW (380 PS ). This is the most advanced powertrain ever designed for a Wrangler. Most everyday journeys can be made locally emission-free in fully electric mode, with a range of up to 50 kilometers1, with high efficiency and without any fear of range. In addition, the electric drive is perfectly integrated into the 4 × 4 system and takes the off-road performance of the Wrangler 4xe to a new level.

Packed with extensive standard equipment and a striking design

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe First Edition will be available in the three paint colors most popular with European customers: Black, Granite Crystal and Bright White2. The plug-in hybrid technology of the Wrangler 4xe includes the three driving modes Hybrid, Electric and E-save, as well as specific functions and controllable settings for electrified driving as well as the possibility of setting charging schedules via the hybrid pages on the infotainment touchscreen or a smartphone Programming the app. The First Edition comes with specific equipment features and design elements such as accents in Natural Gray Metallic, 18-inch wheels, full LED headlights, hard shell cover for the spare wheel, 8,4-inch Uconnect NAV system, smartphone integration and extended connectivity Board as well as a seven-inch TFT screen for information about the charge status of the battery or the range.

Standard safety equipment includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning Plus, the Blind Spot Monitoring system with rear cross-path detection, rear and front cameras, front and rear parking sensors and Keyless Go with passive entry.

Always charged, stress-free

For the Jeep Wrangler 4xe First Edition, an easyWallbox with a charging capacity of up to 2,3 kilowatts for a charging time of less than seven hours is available on request. The charging power can be increased to 7,4 kilowatts with the same hardware, which shortens the charging time by up to three hours.

The exclusive First Edition is the most extensive equipment variant of the new Jeep Wrangler 4xe and customers who have made a reservation can probably order it from March with delivery in early summer 2021.

At a price of 76.000 euros (manufacturer's retail price ex works incl. 19 percent VAT), the “First Edition” will contain an extensive additional package with, among other things, a cable for public charging stations, practical accessories and a maintenance package for the first two years.
• In order to be among the first to discover the limited “First Edition” model after registering on the bethefirst.jeep.de website, there is no obligation to pay a deposit or to purchase.
• The Wrangler 4xe is expected to hit European dealerships in the second quarter of 2021.
