As if the Bronco wasn't already popular enough. Ford CEO Jim Farley: "We put all our enthusiasm and knowledge of the Bronco and Raptor vehicles into building the desert racer. It is not intended for the big show, nor is it suitable for everyone. More performance and more power
Let's start with the most important question: what has happened under the hood? Instead of the 2,7-liter V6 engine, the Bronco Raptor gets one 3,0 liter EcoBoost V6 engine with dual turbocharging and a bank angle of 60 degrees, which is at least 400 PS should afford. The final power and torque figures have not yet been determined, although the engine is already in the Explore ST is used and there 405 PS & 563 Nm of torque performs. Maybe it even tends towards 450 hp? According to Ford, the engine is exclusively for the Raptor tuned and breathes through an enhanced intake system with better Intercooling and a real one Dual multimode exhaust system. The latter has an active Control valve and four different tones.
It is also installed in such a way that the 30,8 degree ramp angle and the Approach angle (47,2 in front and 40,5 degrees in the back) not negatively constrained. The maximal fording should be 94 centimeters by the way. A 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters is the only transmission available. The modified ones Dana axes (Dana 44 front / Dana 50 rear) of the Bronco DR Racing SUV come with larger front and rear drive shafts coupled, which transmit the power of the V6. an improved one Transfer Case with gear reduction, a stronger one Clutch and a unique one Baja mode with Anti-lag system are part of the 4×4 system. Suspension influenced by Ultra4 Racing
More power is always welcome, but the big news is that it's vastly improved landing gear of the Ultra4 Racing Series. It includes the axes already mentioned plus an improved one High-performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) system with semi-active Fox dampers, like the ones in the F-150 Raptor are to be found. Suspension height and terrain conditions are monitored by sensors that allow damper settings to be adjusted on the fly.
A reinforced Fox Suspensions landing gear, stiffer shock absorbers and developed by Ford Performance wishbone complete the package. So the Bronco Raptor has 33 centimeters travel on the front axle and 35,5 cm on the rear axle. The track width of the Raptor was increased by around 22 centimeters enlarged, Und die Torsional stiffness of the frame has been increased by 50 percent with reinforced B and C pillars. the minimal Ground clearance is up to 33 centimeters (12,2 inches more than the standard Bronco), and Underrun protection plates cover all the important components when you need to utilize every inch.
Experiments with a large body

Also the door panels and the Raptor grille with the characteristic Ford lettering were adopted.
Other cosmetic improvements include others daytime running lights and a modular one Ford Performance steel front bumper with integrated tow hooks. The optional Bronco Raptor graphics kit adds splash patterns to the exterior and the Exterior color of the Raptor will be "Code Orange". However, we assume that other colors are also available. Code Orange is also used in the interior. A thicker one Steering wheel, improved Ford Performance seats, specific trim levels and I baked the high package are standard on the Bronco Raptor.
Availability and price
As mentioned at the beginning of the post, Ford has not yet announced all the details about the Bronco Raptor. There's not even a hint as to what the starting price will be. In March 2022, however, Ford will start collecting orders. The vehicles will be available at dealerships later in the year. What is the catch?
