After Chevrolet already had the Project X introduced, of course, the arch-rival Ford does not spoil, and also comes with one Electric mod around the corner. In contrast to the Chevrolet, whose Crate engine is still a prototype, the F-100 that Ford is exhibiting at the show uses one Eluminator motorthat you can already buy individually to use for your Restomod projects. The vehicle that we would like to introduce to you in more detail today is based on one 1978er Ford F-100, which is made by Ford Performance in cooperation with MLe Racecars has been modified.
Restomod pickup with a special flair!
This Ford doesn't just have a modern one Power Type, but also a contemporary one Custom chassis, that from a tuning company called Roadster Shop was created to bring the sheer power of the electric motor better onto the road. Unfortunately, we don't know which tuning measures were explicitly carried out on the chassis, but we suspect that the antiquated rigid axles with leaf springs had to give way. The name of the paintwork of the F-100 Eluminator Concept Truck is by the way Avalanche Gray, and the hue was accented in Cerakote Copper refined.
The pickup rolls up Michelin Latitude tires in the format 275/40 ZR19, which on three-piece 19-inch rims von ForgeLine were raised. The rims that have a Central locking in our opinion harmonize perfectly with the gray painted body, and result in a successful symbiosis of retro and modern. the copper-colored accents Incidentally, as well as the paintwork of the pickup come from X Customs. From our point of view, the vehicle looks almost like one Electric sleeperYou don't necessarily see its strength because the truck looks harmless from the outside.
Interior: luxury of bygone times!
According to our information, the vehicle has a Custom dashboard made of aluminum, which is from JJR Fabrication was built. In addition, a green-brown one held Leather seats from MDM Upholstery move into the classic Ford, which otherwise largely dispenses with modern bells and whistles in the interior.
E-Luminator Crate Engine provides propulsion!
The Electric drive, which is also in 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT does its job, does it in this very special Restomod truck 480 PS and a gigantic 865 Newton meters maximum torque. The power transmission probably takes place via a One step automatic on all four wheels, as there are electric motors on both the front axle and the rear. The vehicle should be a real weapon on the dragstrip, but in terms of the Reach unfortunately we don't have any information yet.
Our Summary to the Ford F-100 Eluminator Concept:
We think it's good that the classics of the US car scene that are worth preserving are being made fit for the future so that they don't die out in the near future. This project also shows that automobile manufacturers are also thinking about how to proceed with their historic vehicles.
