Fierce Part - BMSPEC Bodykit on Ford Focus RS (2017)

Undisputed is the current generation of Ford Focus, as 2.3 EcoBoost RS with 350 hp and all-wheel drive, the best that Ford has brought to the road in the three previous generations of “Focus”. There is a high probability that the upcoming RS will be based on the 2018 Generation 4 Trump this then, but until the time comes he remains the top dog. And that the Focus can also become an absolute track tool, that recently showed us Speedhunters magazine with a RS got a comprehensive BMSPEC prototype body kit donated. BMSPEC developed especially for this car a large front splitter with small side flaps and also discreet sill swords.

The absolute highlight is definitely at the rear where there is a powerful approach to the rear diffuser and an exorbitantly huge rear wing in the format of a GT4 race car. All components are made entirely of carbon and therefore very light. Who now thinks that this aerodynamic kit provides only for an aggressive look was wrong. The aim was to improve the aerodynamic performance of the RS on the racetrack without increasing air resistance. And BMSPEC succeeded! The whole thing is called "Free Downforce" and behind it there are months of development on the computer and in the wind tunnel.

For the aerodynamic kit, the RS got one more Feal 441 coilover kit including sport springs, a revised manual transmission and a set of black Enkei NT03 + M alloy wheels with Yokohama Advan AD08R tires. On the Laguna Seca Racetrack, the new aerodynamic components ensure a constant improvement in lap times of at least 2 seconds while maintaining the same air resistance. The performance of the engine is currently still close to series production and the braking system has not yet been changed. These and other modifications are still planned and as soon as we have more information there will of course be an update for this post.
