After last a lot of interpretations of the Mercedes V-class and the significantly changed V-SPORT VW T6 Tuner Carlex Design has now published a new project. This time based on a Ford Focus RS. This is a third generation example with a 2.3l EcoBoost four-cylinder. As is well known, the engine sends 350 PS & 440 NM torque to all four wheels and the RS was produced until April this year. Since then, Ford has been producing the 4th generation of the Focus of which there is no RS yet. This time Carlex leaves the focus completely untouched on the outside and concentrates exclusively on the interior. The aim of the modifications was not to create a completely new cabin, they just wanted to skilfully stage the interior.

In addition, all seats were covered with black leather and the door panels are now finished with the design and material of the seats. Even the center armrest has been covered and there are also many small details that characterize the interior. These include the new shift bag, the handbrake and, unmistakably, the sporty steering wheel with a 12 o'clock mark. Here everything is set off with a yellow seam and this seam can also be found on the aforementioned shift bag and the handbrake. For this project, Carlex Design decided not to re-cover the dashboard or the headliner, which does not detract from the overall impression. The high-quality materials ex works harmonize perfectly with the changes made by the tuner.

With the project Ford Focus RS Carlex Design shows that even with few accents a completely new flair can be created. Everything looks coherent and individual, but nevertheless the changes only become apparent at second glance. If we receive timely information on further changes, there is of course as always an update for this report.
