Teaser: Ford GT Holman Moody Heritage Edition!

Was the 2022 Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition not the end of the GT yet? It seems so! Because with a few teaser pictures, Ford now has the "GT Holman Moody Heritage Edition" announced. Apparently she's supposed to be next Retro special model to duly celebrate the legendary past of the super sports car. The published pictures show parts of the GT gold-colored body and red accents. However, the complete edition will not be presented until later in the spring. The design of the livery is based on the GT40 racing cars from the Holman-Moody team, which was instrumental in the development of the 427-cubic-inch V8-powered GT40 together with Shelby American outside of motorsport. Back then, Holman-Moody fielded three of the GT40s at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966 a. One of the vehicles, with Ronnie bucknum and Dick Hutcherson at the wheel, achieved Place 3 and thus places 1 to 3 were secured for the Ford brand. Place 1 went to Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon in the Shelby-American Ford GT40 Mk.II and second place with Ken Miles and Denis Hulme at the wheel was also reserved for the Shelby-American Inc. team.

If you look at the previous Ford GT Heritage Editions as a comparison, then the Holman & Moody variant is probably just the one Color and the finish of the Rims to make out. That means, like the black and white '66 Heritage Edition, the 64 Prototype Heritage Edition", the red and white '67 Heritage Edition, the baby blue and orange Gulf variant and the one linked above Alan Mann Racing version it should also be on the Holman & Moody vehicles no changes in technology give.
