Completed: Everrati electric powered Ford GT40 replica!

Had last summer Everrati announced, the combustion engine in the Superformance LLC Ford GT40 against a Electric drive to swap. And now the UK-based company has completed the ambitious project and a first few days ago all-electric GT40 racing car (prototype) presented. Ford enthusiasts as well as die-hard classic car fans can rest easy because instead of an original GT40, Everrati used one replica from the kit car supplier Superformance based in California. Superformance's replicas are sufficiently authentic to be officially eligible to use the GT40 name and be included in the GT40 Register and the Shelby Register. And even one GT40/P chassis number has such a vehicle. The Everrati GT40 was designed as a performance vehicle and impresses with a e-powertrain, which on the rear axle two electric motors brings with it a system performance of tremendous 815 hp & 800 Nm torque deliver This means that the vehicle has more power than a Lamborghini Aventador S, but without the sound and drama of the combustion engine.

with a 700 volt electrical system

One is used as a battery 60 kilowatt hour unitthat with a 700-volt electrical system operated to provide a fast charging facility. Everrati states that the vehicle has no Trailer Queen for Show and shine competitions, but makes "real action" possible on the race track. On Everrati's website, the range of the GT40 is listed with about 200 km (125 miles) and also states that the sports car in under 4,0 seconds accelerated from a standstill to 100 km/h.

The Everrati Superperformance GT40 is expected to make its official debut in the coming months, with pricing and other relevant information expected to be available by then. With the electrified GT40, Everrati leads its line of Electromods like the Mercedes-Benz SL (W113), the Porsche 911 (964) and the Land Rover Series IIA.
