Everyone knows the term “muscle car”! A term introduced at a later date for US-American cars that were based on normal series vehicles, but were more motorized. As early as the 50s, these vehicles primarily addressed a young target group, which has not changed to this day. And the interpretation of the term “muscle car” could hardly be better presented than with the current Ford Mustang, the Dodge Challenger and the Chevrolet Camaro. All three vehicles have been around for decades and all three have been improved to perfection during this time. More is not possible? Yes, you can be sure of that with the experts at the chassis specialists H&R. Sport springs, coilovers, sport stabilizers or wheel spacers are the arguments and of course everything is "Made in Germany".

Ford Mustang - 2015 and 2016

Let's start with the current Ford Mustang (2015 & 2016), which is still the best-selling sports coupé in the world! Regardless of whether it is a 317 hp EcoBoost four-cylinder or a befitting 500 hp V8 in the GT - H&R has a coilover kit or matching sport springs in stock for each variant. It doesn't matter whether you want to equip a convertible or a coupé with it. The highlight in the H&R range for the Mustang is definitely the new Monotube coilover kit. If you install it in the EcoBoost four-cylinder, the adjustment range enables a lowering of up to 40 millimeters on the front axle and up to 45 millimeters at the rear - if you are a proud owner of the V8 it is 25/30 millimeters (front & rear). If the individually adjustable chassis was installed, the Ford Mustang is perfectly equipped for the road and the racetrack and, in addition to an improved appearance, of course also enables significantly more performance. If you want a little more driving dynamics, H&R sport stabilizers are optionally available. The well-known “Trak +” wheel spacers are also available for the Mustang. They are available in different widths from 6 to 60 millimeters per axis.

more bite for the Dodge Challenger

The current Dodge Challenger is also available with more performance on request. The Challenger has been around since 1970 and since then it has matured to perfection. But it is well known that more is always possible and there are new sport springs for the SRT 392 with 492 hp, for example. They make for an even more beefy look because the Challenger crouches more aggressively over the road. The new springs with individually coordinated spring characteristics are available for all model variants. The lowering of the American is around 25 millimeters and results in a significant increase in driving dynamics, as the vehicle's center of gravity is lowered. Thanks to the H&R suspension components, the Challenger is even more precise when turning and the tendency to roll is also reduced. Owners of the model generations up to 2015 can order the sport springs with immediate effect and they are already in preparation for the 2016 model.

The Chevrolet Camaro is also deeper

Finally, the Chevrolet Camaro can also look forward to new chassis components from H&R. It has been the counterpart to the successful Ford Mustang since the 60s and it is now also receiving a good deal more performance and dynamism. The strikingly drawn body of the Camaro is lowered by 35 millimeters towards the road by means of sport springs. If that is not enough, you can now use the continuously adjustable coilover kit, which means that the Camaro can be adjusted even more individually. The increased chassis performance can be rounded off with optional sport stabilizers. Anyone who drives a Camaro from 2015 can do so immediately and owners of a 2016 model (with adaptive chassis) can look forward to the H&R sport springs. Further components are already in the works and will follow soon. The Camaro can also get “Trak +” wheel spacers on request. Starting from 6 mm, they are available up to 60 mm per axle and enable optimal alignment of the wheels on the wheel arch edges.
