Not under power: 1967 Ford Mustang GT500E Restomod!

Suppose we are opposite the subject electrification totally unbiased, we're looking for a classic muscle car to go with it, and we have about $340.000 (€349.000) to spare, then this Mustang is it not really perfect. hey, why? More on that in a moment. It was the absolute favorite sports car of the 60s and in this case it is back in new car condition. But the classic really has to do without its typical V8 due to the "E" suffix, like that Specimen by Charge Automotive? And if so, would that be bad? AND! We here at tuningblog are actually a bit biased towards the topic of electrification, at least when a classic vehicle "have to lose their feathers". But fortunately this is here CAN'T the case. Because behind the designation Ford Mustang GT500E Restomod actually sticks a car with a massive 427 V8 under the hood, a manual Six-speed Tremec manual transmission and with a lot of modern technology.

“E” stands for Eleanor

And to whom the "E" in the name of occurs in spanish, it is meant for Eleanor stand, the Mustang that's in Gone in Seconds 60 (only 60 seconds left) starred. However, the vehicle has nothing to do with the car from the film. Only the optics are based on it. Although there are no specific performance specifications in the sales ad, it is highly likely that the V8 under the hood will deliver significantly above 400 PS. Finally, the 427 V8 was up 480 cubic inches (about 7 liters) and got tuning parts like one FiTech fuel injection, Aluminum cylinder heads and X-Pipe sports exhaust system with sidepipes. The power is given by the mentioned Six-speed transmission now 9 inch tail With a 3,75 translation skilfully and on the road we transmit the performance through beautiful American Racing Alloy Wheels. Behind them are big ones Wilwood Power 4 disc brakes all around with red lacquered saddles.

a lot has happened inside too

And also in Interior a lot has happened. In the cabin, which, like the body, is complete restored and rebuilt became, from now on a classic shows up Wood Steering Wheels and the beautiful dashboard is with modern components such as digital Show stocked. A new one is added Bluetooth sound system in the old-school look, there were modern switches for the power windows similar to the original in the center console and the driver and front passenger sit in Recaro bucket seats with four-point belts, Also a GO-EFI FiTech system for the display of important data, the coolant temperature etc. is installed. Incidentally, the car even comes with the original historical papers, including the original sales contract, which shows that the classic car only cost $3.346,05 new. Maybe there are now rims without tires! If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
