This year there is to Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance To see a very special Ford Mustang (model 2020) in the legendary blue-orange Gulf racing paint. Among other things, this results from the fact that this vehicle is a very official Gulf Heritage Mustang. This is made possible by a license agreement with Gulf Oil, which allowed Brown Lee Performance to wrap the American muscle car exactly 119 x in the livery of the Le Man-awarded Ford GT40 of the years 1968 and 1969.

And that is also the reason why one could officially raise Gulf badges on the fenders as well as on the rear and in the cabin. And according to the standards, a lot has happened under the hood. The classic 5,0-liter V8 of the GT was pushed by 3,0-liter stage 2 compressor system on 808 PS and thus the Mustang Gulf Heritage Edition could even keep up with the then racing cars. These were last allowed to use the 7-liter-winning engine from 1966 and got a new 5-liter V8 donated. Also responsible for the increase in performance is a new intercooler, modified injectors or the high-flow air intake system. In addition, there was for the Heritage Edition still a new sports suspension (optional sports springs) including a discreet lowering and the body is slightly modified.

Here you can install a filigree carbon front splitter, a NoName radiator grille with Gulf emblem, there were sill swords and a rear spoiler with Gurney lip and an aggressive rear diffuser. The wheel arches are made of 20 inch large, ultra-light forged wheels that are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tires in the dimensions 285 / 30ZR20 and 305 / 30ZR20. A look through the spokes also reveals another brake system. Brembo 6 piston calipers with 15,1-inch brake discs and Gulf branding at the front and the rear axle got an 4 piston system with identical brake discs and also a branding from Gulf. Brown Lee Ford, a subsidiary of Brown Lee Ford of Morrison, Tennessee, also ensures that the Mustang's cabin receives a high-quality, sequential badge.

But not only that. In addition, the interior is equipped with full leather and Alcantara to the last crack and the sporty Recaro leather seats also carry a large Gulf badge on the back. Available is the 808 PS / 915 NM strong Mustang as a convertible or coupe and both with the new 10 automatic transmission or the 6 manual gear shift.
