From the Australian tuner Herrod performance comes after 700 HP Mustang R-Spec compressor now an even stronger copy of the Ford Mustang! Curtain up for the Mustang SM17, which wants to be Australia's ultimate Ford Mustang and with 775 hp even the 770 PS strong Shelby GT500 exceeds. Herrod Performance is known in Australia for ultimate Ford Mustang conversions and is now drawing attention to itself with the modified Shelby GT500 competitor. As already mentioned, the limited series is called "SM17" and is of course based on the current version of the Ford Mustang. The vehicle is after the three-time Supercars champion Scott McLaughlin named of a Mustang in the Australian Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Racing series drives. And the tuned Mustang has, in addition to a large number of mechanical modifications, even further improvements in the interior and on the body. The basis of the SM17 is the Mustang GT with a 5,0-liter V8, which receives from Herrod Performance a massive Whipple compressor, Bosch injectors, a large intake manifold and a new charge air cooler with a high flow rate.

Of course, an in-house chip tuning should not be missing and with a few other components the performance is increased to a huge 775 PS and a torque of 810 Nm (597 lb-ft). And if you re-order the Mustang SM17, you can choose from a six-speed manual or automatic. Incidentally, the heavily modified variant is acoustically noticeable by means of a cat-back exhaust system made of stainless steel with black tailpipes and even an active valve control is installed. The chassis is equipped with adjustable pendulum rods at the front and rear and the factory Magneride chassis is recalibrated for the extra power. This is intended to achieve a significantly improved driving experience in curves and when braking hard. Of course, the black painted 20 inch forged rims, which are all around with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires in the format 275/30 and 305/30, also play a major role in this.

SM17 details also in the interior!
