Did you know that the Toyota Hilux has been around for over 50 years? It was introduced to the US market in 1968 and just a year later it came to Europe. Since then it has been sold over 18 millions of times and also the current version enjoys great popularity. No wonder that tuners of any kind are interested in the Hilux. And now the Japanese tuner Forest International donated an extensive body kit to the popular Toyota Hilux. Specifically, it is the so-called "Sports Line Black Bison Edition“And it makes for a mighty performance. This gives the packhorse not only a sporty racing look but also significantly improved terrain properties. And the body kit is really extensive. At the front there is a completely newly developed apron with large air inlets and additional LED daytime running lights, which, however, somehow reminds of the design of the Mercedes X-Class.

The apron also carries an indicated underride protection and is widened on both sides. And that has a reason, of course. The Hilux received namely mounted fender flares the open with screwing the body a significant plus of 110 millimeters (55mm per page) Bring vehicle width. In addition there was a bonnet with huge Powerdome (Bonnet Scoop Cove) and a bonnet attachment as we actually know it from much larger vehicles such as the Dodge Ram or the Ford F-150. But even the Hilux is the brutal look excellent. The side is underlined with new running boards for easier entry and also at the rear something has been done. In addition to the above-mentioned widenings for the wheel arches, there is a three-piece spoiler lip for the tailgate and also a modified rear apron which is much more solid compared to the series. On the dull black exhibition vehicle, the aerodynamic parts are sometimes held in the noble Sichtcarbon but also accents in silver play a role here.
Raise and off-road slippers
And then there's the huge wheel set. Installed are nice in-house one-piece 22 alloy rims type JARRET J11-C with big off-road tires which are set in perfect condition thanks to the built-in height adjustment. And on request, Wald installs an international sports exhaust system with a trendy side pipe in the style of the Mercedes G-Class. The exhibition vehicle carries a variant with three tailpipes which is even installed on the right and left. And at least when the 4,0-liter V6 with 238 PS wags under the hood that is not even exaggerated in combination with the body kit. PS. Soon there will be a roof attachment with additional lights and new mirror caps. If we receive timely information on other changes not mentioned before, there is of course as always an update for this report.
