Geely

The manufacturer Geely (in Chinese: 吉利 汽車 / 吉利 汽车, Pinyin Jílì Qìchē - translated: "auspicious automobile") is a Chinese manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles. The company is based in Hangzhou (capital of Zhejiang province) and has a total of seven locations for the production of vehicles. Construction is still taking place in the cities of Linhai, Ningbo, Luqiao (Zhejiang province) and also in Shanghai, Xiangtan, Hunan, Jinan in Shandong and ultimately in Lanzhou in Gansu. Another outsourced location for parts is also located in Chengdu in Sichuan. The "Geely International Corporation", which was founded in 2002 in Shanghai, is responsible for export and import. In addition to the Geely brand (licensed products CKD / SKD), Geely International Corporation also has the brand names Emgrand (100% in-house developments), Proton, Lynk & Co, Lotus, Englon (JV models), London Taxi, Panda, Shanghai Maple Automobile (SMA), Volvo inklusive Polestar and finally made Terrafugia their own. Geely (Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. Ltd) showed with the Geely Ge in 2009 a car that looked confusingly similar to the Rolls-Royce Phantom and is considered a plagiarism.
