More convertible is not possible from BMW! The brand new M8 Cabrio (F91) is intended for people who want to combine uncompromising performance with unlimited headroom. And like the closed M8, the convertible is also available in two versions, both of which have the M in their name, and rightly so. The "normal" M8 with 600 hp and the M8 Competition Cabrio that breaks the 100 mark after 3,3 seconds and only a short time later leaves the 200 scale behind. If you order the M8 (no matter which variant) with the M Driver's Package, it goes up to 305 km / h without any notable interruption. And like the Coupé and Gran Coupé, the M8 Convertible also comes with the well-known eight-speed automatic and the dynamic M xDrive all-wheel drive.

And for the renowned tuner G-Power, the M8 Cabrio was now apparently the optimal basis to show what the S63B44T eight-cylinder under the hood is actually capable of. The result is the G-POWER G8M Bi-TURBO based on the M8 Competition Cabriolet as Stage 3 received an insane performance increase to 820 hp (603 kW) and 1.000 Nm torque. The upgrade is achieved by means of a combination of software and hardware adjustments in addition to the performance software GP-820 Bring the upgraded turbocharger with CNC machined housings, special downpipes with or without sport catalytic converters and a high-quality titanium exhaust system. The exhaust system opens into tailpipes with carbon sheathing and can alternatively consist of stainless steel.

Stage 1 and Stage 2 are also available

If you want a number more moderate, G-Power has two more performance levels in stock. Stage 1 comes to 720 PS (529 kW) and 850 Nm (only with performance software GP-720) and Stage 2 delivers 770 hp (566 kW) and 930 Nm because here the downpipes with sport catalytic converters are added. And of course the tuner from Aichach also misses the M8's in-house HURRICANE RR forged wheels. The ultra-light aluminum wheel in double-spoke design with a black and diamond cut finish is installed in the 21-inch dimensions and fitted with Michelin tires in the formats 285/30 ZR21 and 295/30 ZR21.

200 km / h in under 9 seconds?

Although G-Power is not yet providing any information on the new acceleration values, we assume that the 3-second mark for the sprint to 100 km/h will be easily broken and that the discipline at 200 km/h will hardly take more than 9 seconds should. And if desired, everything openly to completely destroy the hairstyle! The increase in performance as well as the RR forged wheels are of course suitable for every variant of the M8 and also the technically identical M5 (F90).

We currently do not have any more details on the G-Power M8. If we receive timely information about other changes that have not been mentioned before, there is of course an update for this report, as always. It is best if you subscribe to our feed and if there is anything new, you will be informed immediately. We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures.
