Many of these vehicles are refined by the manufacturers themselves and are considered feasibility studies for later OEM packages. And sometimes a manufacturer decides to bring a special edition that is flashily tuned, like the vehicle exhibited at the fair, on the market in a limited small series. Chinese manufacturers in particular know how to shine in the area of ​​modified exhibition vehicles. And the Guangzhou Auto Corporation (GAC) with its Trumpchi brand did not miss out and presented at the 2021 Guangzhou Auto Show (took place in November) an Empow S with a bold Body kit and rear wing. And that's exactly what we want to show you.

Body kit in rallycross style!

As soon as you take a look at the vehicle, you will be spellbound! The dynamic one Wide body kit, which has a lot of depth thanks to the powerful front apron, is a complete OEM kit. In addition to the usual body modifications like the modified one front apron, the widely exposed Wheelhouses and the Lowering, also became a Powerdome with air inlets mounted on the hood, which almost turns the Trumpchi into a Chinese muscle car.

Concave alloy wheels in 19-inch format, which have a five-spoke star design and a shiny silver finish, ensure an extremely dynamic look on sporty Asians. In addition, the vehicle has lateral Finns at the stern and supposedly a large tailgate. The production model of the Trumpchi Empow S, on the other hand, only has a conventional trunk lid that does not swing up completely. We are impressed by the mighty body kit and especially the roof spoiler in Cosworth style reminds us of times long past.

The interior is conventional!

Except for the blue ones frieze On the dashboard and on the seats, which are intended to give the Trumpchi sporty accents in the interior, the cockpit has remained unchanged compared to the production version. This means that all safety and comfort features are retained and you can easily find your way around.

The show car is powered by a 1,5-liter turbo gasoline engine

In terms of drive technology, only home-style cooking is built into the martial Chinese. A 1,5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 177 PS and a maximum torque of 270 Newton meter ensures that the car accelerates to over 200 km / h. The 100 km / h mark should fall in about seven seconds, which would be a good value for a compact sedan, even if the vehicle looks so brutal thanks to the widebody kit, as if it wanted to compete with a Lamborghini. The power is transmitted via a Dual-clutch transmission with seven speed levels on the front wheels.

We think it would be a shame if the exhibition vehicle remained just a feasibility study and disappeared again in the Trumpchi catacombs.
