Can you look at the completely rebuilt Fiat Panda Restomod from the tuner Garage Italia Customs recall? At the end of 2018, the Italian refiner presented the Panda 4×4 Trekking type 141 (1980-2003), which originally belonged to the grandfather Gianni Agnelli of the current owner Lapo Elkann belonged to. And with this project the idea seems to have arisen to bring an electric variant onto the market. And that's exactly what you have with the "Fiat Panda 4 × 4 icon-E: Panderis“ (Video at the end of the post) did. It was part of a small Fiat Panda conversion series and was built in cooperation with the textile manufacturer Vitale Barberis Canonico and the hi-fi specialists from JBL. The most important detail of the conversion is of course the removed four-cylinder combustion engine. It was plugged into the original gearbox and the existing four-wheel drive train using an electric motor.
Range of around 100 kilometers
The built-in battery pack should enable a range of around 100 kilometers, which is sufficient at least in the city. The charging socket is hidden under the fuel filler flap and a charging process should take a maximum of 8 hours. There was also the Icon-E Panderis a special paint with blue design stripes, there were steel rims in contrasting colors and in the interior of Vitale Barberis Canonico there were noble fabrics on the door panels, the headlining and the dashboard. And the hi-fi freaks from JBL with high-quality speakers, active subwoofer and new radio have taken on the sound experience. And as part of the Icon-E-Auto project, the 00Panda has now been completed as a secret agent.

In addition to the "Pandoro" project (in cooperation with fashion designer Marta Ferri), the project "Pand'Art" (in cooperation with Arthur Kar from L'Art de L'Automobile) and the "Pandina Jones" (in cooperation with Car & Vintage) a pitch-black specimen has now emerged. The technology is identical to the electric motor and the battery pack, and here too the basis was a Panda 4×4. But this example is completely covered in a matt black, which extends to the smallest detail such as the charging connection under the fuel filler cap, the exterior mirrors, the antenna and the roof rails. And the cabin has almost no splashes of color to offer either.

Instead, a lot of black Alcantara was used here and the Panda was even given a 3-spoke sports steering wheel covered with Alcantara or an Alcantara gear lever. And this vehicle has again installed a sound system with components from JBL in order to be able to offer a species-appropriate alternative to the noiseless electric drive. The black off-road version of the Panda 4×4 with electric drive from Garage Italia Customs is another successful restomod project and should make the new owner a little 007 James Bond.
