The current Geely Binrui is slowly emerging as a popular tuning object. More and more often you can find pictures of refined or deteriorated copies online. Based on the BMA platform developed by the Swedish car manufacturer Volvo, which belongs to the Geely Group, the model in the compact class is attracting customers. With its coupé-like lines and short notchback, the compact car not only looks elegant, but also very elegant. Unfortunately, the sedan is not available in Europe, but it would surely find buyers, as compact sedans are on the rise again in this country, as the current sales figures for the Audi A3 or Mercedes A-Class sedan show.

Subtle tuning with little finesse.

The Geely Binrui has been subtly modified, and has, among other things, a body kit with a new rear bumper, diffuser and more pronounced side skirts, which were also painted in red. Further red accents are set on the front spoiler lip, which takes up the color of the side skirts. Another small but fine detail are the turn signal lights in arrow design, which are very filigree and immediately catch the eye. Particularly interesting is the fact that in the first pictures the diffuser at the rear is still painted black, but in the further course of the picture it was also painted red in order to harmonize with the color of the side skirts and the front spoiler lip. The absolute highlight of the discreet and yet very sporty tuning, however, is the four-pipe exhaust system, from which the Geely can trumpet its exhaust gases. It suggests a lot more sportiness than the tiny 1-liter three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine that does its job in the car can hold. But it looks kind of cool and gives the soda that certain something. In our opinion, however, the car would have to be lowered to get the most out of it, because nothing has been changed in terms of vehicle height. The 17-inch rims also appear to be standard or from the OEM shelf from Geely, as they have the Geely logo emblazoned on them. We also noticed another special gimmick that shows how Geely and Volvo belong together - the Ferrari-style moose sticker. So refined, the Geely Binrui can certainly be seen, and it would also attract attention on European roads.

The small engine remained unchanged.

A 1-liter three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with 136 hp and 205 Newton meters of maximum torque acts as the drive source in the compact sedan. The unit is available both with a 6-speed manual switch and with a dual clutch transmission with 7 speed levels. This accelerates the front-wheel drive sedan up to 200 km / h, and unlike the new models from the sister brand Volvo, the Geely is not electronically limited to 180 km / h, but got free rein. With the compact sedan, you can even hit the gas when you're in a hurry, even though the sprint from 0 to 100 km / h takes just under 11 seconds. Nowadays that feels like an eternity, but luckily you can increase the performance of the small turbo engine by chip tuning if the series output is not enough.
