It's been unbelievable 32 years ago than in the year 1985 the Porsche tuner Gemballa with the first Avalanche created a spectacular tuning highlight. And now in 2017 the third generation of the completely tuned Porsche 911 (type 991) is following in the mighty Avalanche footsteps of its successful predecessor. The official premiere will be in Geneva! The basis for the new Gemballa Avalanche will be a current Porsche 911 Turbo. And of course it should again set absolute standards in terms of design and of course performance. In order to achieve this, the six-cylinder twin-turbo boxer engine from Gemballa is pimped to the ultimate 820 PS & 950 Nm torque, which of course is more than just an announcement. And of course, the Gemballa Avalanche has to build on tradition visually and is accordingly thick. Particularly noticeable is the large spoiler that sits on the boot lid and has a double wing profile. No less spectacular are the extremely large tailpipes that somehow just press into the rear apron.
You can also immediately see the difference to the production vehicle on the side because, for example, all four wheel arches are clearly exposed and provided with ventilation gills, making the 911 look even more brawny. Another cool gimmick is the rear window which is provided with a scale armor made of fine carbon fiber. And the power dome on the front hood is also made of carbon fiber and, in conjunction with a newly designed front apron, creates a powerful impression in the rearview mirror. Incidentally, the Geneva Motor Show will take place from March 9th to 19th and in addition to the new Avalanche, Gemballa will also present the Gemballa GTR 780 EVO-R, which is also based on the Porsche Turbo and is hardly weaker with 780 hp.
