The future is called "E" and that doesn't seem to bounce off the Corvette either. The team from Genovation Cars yesterday presented a more than 800 PS strong C7 that relies entirely on electric power. The company wants to build the floor 75 times and apart from the price, the C7 is also really interesting. The US company had already set a high-speed record with a modified Corvette in 2016 because the electrically powered Vette managed a proud 330 km / h. The project name Genovation GXE has been known since then and the 660 PS drive planned at the time has now increased to over 800 PS.

As a counterpart to the Rimac One or the Tesla Model S Probably the project GXE should meet with a lot of response. The base is unmistakably the Corvette of the C7 generation but the strong V8 is history. In fact, a brutal electric drive with fabulous 950 Newton meters of torque and 800 PS is being installed. All this goes to the rear axle and brings the extremely wide slippers of the GXE C7 to despair. If you want, you can even keep the seven-speed manual transmission, which is our personal highlight on this vehicle.

Genovation Cars delivers the C7 with an automatic transmission as standard. Maybe the better choice after all? Equipped with the automatic it goes to 100 km / h in just under three seconds and the top speed is only reached at over 350 km / h. That's 100 km / h more than a Tesla can do. The final range of the electric car is not yet known, but the capacity of the battery with a good 60 kilowatt hours should already make it clear that everything is tried here to make everyday suitability at least possible.

And the price? As expected, this is extreme with 750.000 US dollars. The GXE C7 is to be built for the time being only in a small series of 75 copies and the first deliveries should actually take place already this year. If we get more concrete technical details in a timely manner, there is of course an update for this story. About the update you will be informed if yours Feed subscribe to.
