2023 Hurtan Grand Albaycin 30th Anniversary Edition!

Can you still remember the Hurtan "Bespoke" variant of the Grand Albaycin based on the Mazda MX-5 remember? From the Spanish bodywork company steal there is now an update of the Grand Albaycin. Hurtan has been manufacturing vehicles since 1992 and as a result is now celebrating its 30th anniversary. And with a particularly chic Grand Albaycín based on Mazda MX-5. The 2023 model is also based on the Miata ND and is called Hurtan Grand Albaycin 30th Anniversary Edition. The Grand Albaycin has been available for sale since last year with both a fabric top and a Targa version with a metal roof. But the special edition is new and increases the exclusivity even more. Because according to Hurtan, only six vehicles will be manufactured. They all feature the well-known retro design reminiscent of the sports cars of the 1950s and 60s. There are no changes to the body, but there are new rims and a more refined cabin.

Interested parties can choose from three finishes (Lead Grey, Cherry Red and Midnight Blue) and two interior designs are also available. The pictures show the sporty roadster with the manually folding fabric roof and with a hardtop. Hurtan has also stated that it will sell the MX-5, which is turned completely inside out, with a choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. Especially if you just focus on the looks on the outside, it's hard to tell that it's an MX-5. The lines and every little detail actually looks like a British roadster from the 60s. And that's not even that far-fetched. Because the starting point, i.e. the old Miata NA, was deliberately given the design of the post-war British roadsters.

arched fenders, old-school grille, round LED headlights, two different interior options (wood or metal accents), quilted leather upholstery, special emblems on the headrests, photo book, as Cabrio and Targa available etc.

True, carry the four tailpipes a bit thick at the rear, but the rest is by no means exaggerated and may even briefly suggest to the layman that it is a Wiesmann MF5 GT acts. In terms of performance, the Grand Albaycín with a 1,5 or 2,0 liter naturally aspirated engine and 132 or 184 hp is far from a Wiesmann. While the Grand Albaycín's exterior may take some getting used to, the cabin is beyond reproach. The interior is namely much more luxurious than that of the MX-5.
