When it comes to electric car tuning, the Ora brand from Great Wall Motors seems to be right at the forefront in the Chinese home market. Again and again we discover photos and articles of tuned Ora models, which not only look cool, but also make the hearts of many tuning friends beat faster. It doesn't matter whether you are a fan of electric mobility or not, the modified Oras look kind of cute and cuddly in our opinion. Almost like Kei-cars They are there, the little Chinese who have taken the hearts of many car buyers by storm on their home market and will gradually establish themselves in the tuning scene.

Electric speedster with a coolness factor.

With its upright and geometric shape, the Great Wall Ora Baimao looks almost like an Apple product, especially in white. But of course the Chinese tuning company JM Club didn't want to leave it at that, and put a lot of hands on the little rascal. First of all, the standard rims had to believe in it, and were replaced by multi-part 17-inch aluminum (retro steel rims) with huge Central locking in chrome optics and a silver tread that is a bit reminiscent of the legendary Forgiato Cactus Jack rims remember that were once seen on a Mercedes G model. In addition, the car was lowered with the help of a coilover kit so that it could crouch a few millimeters deeper on the road without being so deep that it mutated into an asphalt milling machine.

The absolute highlight, however, is the AP Yipa 3D foiling, which changes from a light blue tone to white, and thus gives the little Chinese a very special character. Almost like a flip-flop wrap, the surprise effect is very large, depending on the incidence of light, and on a first tour of the car, most car fans will be amazed at the color effects. Incidentally, the LED light bar at the rear is standard and was not installed later. All in all, in our opinion, the speedster can really be seen and does not have to hide from any larger and more powerful tuning vehicles. We are certainly not alone with this opinion, and the vehicle would attract a lot of glances at any brand-open tuning meeting.

Recommended drive only for the city.

An electric motor with 45 KW and a maximum battery capacity of 36 kWh acts as the drive source. The maximum torque is given as a modest 130 Newton meters, which is available from idling to accelerate the pure city runabout to 5,2 city speed in 50 seconds. The top speed of 102 km / h is hardly sufficient for longer stretches of the motorway, but the maximum range of 401 km for an electric car of this size is brilliant. This means that you don't have to constantly go to a charging station, but can also drive for a long time in a relaxed manner without running the risk of running out of power.

Our conclusion on the Great Wall Ora Baimao:

If you dared to take the risk of a gray import, you could get hold of an extremely cool city car, which at around 18.000 euros is also quite affordable. For everyone who would rather have a petrol or diesel in the garage instead of trusting e-mobility, there is still a large picture gallery of the runabout. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply do ours Feed subscribe to.
