GT3 RS Optics & Power on the Porsche 991 Targa 4 GTS from Mcchip

You are looking for perhaps the most extreme Porsche Targa? Then we have found exactly the right one for you because we believe that this specimen from the hallowed halls of Mcchip-DKR is the right candidate. With GT3 RS optics and a performance increase on 575 PS & 675 NM (+125 PS & 125 NM) it even shows the 991 GT3 RS the taillights and should even a facelift 4,2 GT991.2 (planned for this year) drive away. And the Mcchip has a lot of experience in vehicles from Zuffenhausen, among other things, we have known for at least one time 672 PS strong Turbo S (991.2) and many more.

But this time it wasn't just an increase in performance on the program. With the Targa GTS project, the tuner from North Rhine-Westphalia ensures that a GTS becomes a 991.1 GT3 RS. The Targa got a new front and rear apron and the front fenders and the rear side panels were replaced by modified GT3 RS original parts from Porsche. The same applies to the beautiful RS rims with central locking. In the format 9 × 20 inches with 265 / 35ZR20 tires at the front and 12 × 21 inches with 325 / 30ZR21 slippers at the rear, the dark gray wheel set found space on the GTS.

But the conversion was not very easy. Mcchip had to rebuild the front axle so that the rims finish visually flush with the fender as you can install in a central locking rim no spacers. In order to ensure that the wheel set also sits consistently in the wheel arch, there were adjustable KW coil springs and the Ceramic Composite brake system for improved deceleration. And as already mentioned, the new brake system has its reason. By default, the Targa GTS comes with 450 PS and 550 Newton meters and McChip particularly uses the turbocharging of the six-cylinder for the performance increase.

With the “Stage 3” performance increase, it goes to 575 PS and 675 Newton meters and thus to the level of a facelift 911 Turbo S (580 PS & 700 NM). The leap in performance is achieved specifically by means of in-house chip tuning, new turbochargers and a Capristo flap exhaust system made of stainless steel, which includes sports catalytic converters and RS tailpipes. And finally, the interior has not been left untouched.

From now on, the classic check pattern "Pepita" decorates the seats and door linings and ensures GT3 RS looks in the cabin while at the same time allowing the owner to call his own unique piece.
